About Us
After manufacturing trailers for a few years, it became clear that TPI’s strengths would be better directed toward servicing the needs of Off-Highway OEMs. Beginning with projects for Volvo Motor Graders, this segment of the business grew quite quickly and TPI became the primary source for attachments. TPI created unique tooling to generate the curvature for a front mount dozer attachment. Later TPI was able to leverage the curvature technology and made advancements to produce moldboards for motor graders.
In parallel, TPI found an opportunity making handrails for Hitachi Construction Trucks. The business with Hitachi grew quickly and TPI became the primary source for fully dressed Cab assemblies. At peak production levels, TPI was struggling to get an adequate supply of wire harnesses to support cab assembly. This hardship sparked further investigation and TPI decided it could not only be competitive with current wire assembly companies but with TPI’s fresh approach it could yield significant efficiency improvements and lower costs. TPI started the journey to build a wire harness production system geared to the low volume high complexity of most OEM construction and mining machines. TPI also understands that electronics are continually changing and the production system is highly adaptive to the frequent revisions required.
TPI has a history of flexibility, adaptability and continuous growth. TPI makes long-lasting relationships with customers and would welcome the opportunity to partner with your organization.
